Your first session is a conversation, not a test. Your therapist will ask what brings you in, what you hope will change, and a little about your background, and you can ask anything you want about how therapy works. Many of our clients are trying therapy for the first time, and we go at your pace.
-
Yes. Many of our Asian American clients are the first in their family to try therapy, and some do not tell their parents at all. Wanting support does not mean you are ungrateful or weak. Therapy can actually help you understand your family better and handle those relationships with less guilt.
-
Yes. Relocating to Seattle or the Eastside for work can be exciting and still leave you feeling isolated, especially through the gray winter months and far from family and friends. Therapy helps you settle in, manage the stress of starting over, and build a life and community that feel like home.

-
Yes. We see couples online across Washington, including intercultural and interracial couples, dual-career couples, and couples adjusting to a move, a new baby, or the demands of work.
