Christian Faith Integration in Therapy
Christian‑faith integrated therapy is a thoughtful, clinically grounded approach for clients who want their spiritual beliefs to be honored and incorporated into the therapeutic process. Unlike general therapy, which may not consider the role of faith or Scripture, Christian‑faith integration explores how spiritual formation, identity, relational patterns, and emotional experience intersect. The goal is not to offer surface‑level “Christian advice,” but to support you in understanding how your faith can be a resource for grounding, healing, and meaning especially when navigating pain, confusion, or questions within your spiritual life.
At Oak and Stone Therapy in-person at our Pasadena office, Highland Park office, Los Angeles Koreatown Office, and virtually across California, several therapists on our team identify as Christian and bring a well‑integrated understanding of faith into their clinical work. Our therapists offer a secure, non‑judgmental environment where you can explore your values, reconnect with God in ways that feel safe, or untangle spiritual wounds at a pace that feels right for you. We honor both your emotional experience and your faith, supporting you in a way that feels authentic, compassionate, and aligned with your story.
You may benefit from working with one of our Christian therapists if:
You want therapy that honors your Christian values, beliefs, and spiritual formation
You’re navigating questions about faith, identity, or your relationship with God
You’ve experienced spiritual confusion, tension, or uncertainty and want a safe place to process
You’re seeking emotional support that integrates Scripture, prayer, or spiritual practices in a grounded, non‑directive way
You want Christian marriage or couples counseling that honors your shared faith.
You’re hoping to reconnect with your faith in a way that feels safe, authentic, and aligned with your story
You want a therapist who understands how faith, relationships, and emotional patterns intersect
*Offerings also include spiritual abuse recovery, religious trauma therapy, and Christian faith deconstruction.

No. Our therapists are licensed mental health professionals, not pastors, spiritual directors, or spiritual advisors. We don't tell you what to believe or give spiritual instruction. We use clinical training to help you with emotions, relationships, and patterns, while respecting your faith. Many clients see a pastor or spiritual director alongside therapy, and with your written permission, we can coordinate with them.
